About Me:

Nadia Ronquillo — Children's Book Illustrator for Hire

Children's Book Illustrator

Nadia Ronquillo is an award-winning children’s book illustrator for hire, a visual development artist, and a content creator originally from Ecuador.

With a degree in Graphic Design and Audiovisual Production, she began her career as a freelance children’s book illustrator early, collaborating remotely with animation studios and publishers across the globe.

Her work spans children’s books, animated shorts, and television — bringing stories to life with vibrant, emotionally driven art that resonates with young readers everywhere.

A Proven Career in Children's Book Illustration

Nadia’s career is built on a foundation of world-class programs, international recognition, and a relentless commitment to storytelling through art.

International Training & Recognition

In 2016, Nadia was selected for Andimation, an eight-week incubator for developing and pitching animated TV series, organized by The Animation Workshop and founded by UNESCO. In 2017, she participated in the Scriptwriting and Concept Development program at La Poudrière in France — one of the most prestigious animation schools in the world — and the same year received a scholarship and mentorship from the Storyteller Academy.

Award-Winning Projects

In 2018, the project she co-created — Tally Molly — was selected for the Bootcamp of Pixelatl in Mexico, one of Latin America’s leading animation festivals. Tally Molly was also selected for the Bridging The Gap laboratory for TV series in development in Spain, and went on to win the TV series category at Ventana Sur in Argentina. In the summer of 2019, the project was pitched in a special Latin America selection at MIFA during the Festival of Annecy — the most important animation market in the world.

In 2019, Nadia founded Kaleidos, a content development studio, which won the first call for projects of Ecuador’s Institute of Audiovisual (ICCA) for Tally Molly: Picturebook with Augmented Reality.
